FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Whitney Guison Joins the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce as the New President/CEO

NIXA, MO—The Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Whitney Guison has joined the staff as the new president and CEO.

Originally from California, Guison has spent time in South America, Texas and Utah before making her home in Missouri. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies from Utah State University and a Master's Degree in Communication with an emphasis in Conflict Resolution from Missouri State University. Guison, a bilingual, trained mediator, has excelled at helping individuals and professionals learn conflict resolution skills.

Guison's work experience includes teaching conflict resolution at a direct care facility and as an in-person and online public speaking and interpersonal communication instructor at Missouri State University and BYU-Idaho online.

She and her husband, Dr. Phillip Guison, moved to Nixa in 2019 and opened their chiropractic office. She said, "We've loved every minute of owning a business and being part of the Nixa business community." During the last four years, she has learned the world of running and marketing a successful chiropractic office, meeting other small business owners and participating in Nixa Chamber activities. Her passion for small business development and support has grown exponentially, and she is excited to start this new journey with the Nixa Chamber. She will be stepping away from the day-to-day operations of the chiropractic clinic to focus her energy as the new chamber president and CEO.

Guison divides her time with her and Dr. Guison's three adorable kids—who you may see in the chamber office from time to time.

The mission of the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce is to be recognized as the premier business organization by influencing Nixa and the greater Ozarks area through leadership and education while focusing on economic and business development.
