Committees

Join a committee and help make your Chamber work. We have a variety of committees so it is easy to find a place where you can use your talents and interests to serve the Nixa community. Available committees include:

Adopt- A-Class
2009 Co-chairs: Terri Chasteen, Nixa Schools  and Keith Rollings, Nixa Farmers Mutual Insurance
Businesses are encouraged to participate in the the Adopt-A-Class program for Nixa Schools: pre-kindergarten through 6th grade. This is an exciting opportunity for chamber members to partner with a teacher and class.

Ambassadors
Ambassadors act as the official greeters for the Chamber at  Ribbon Cuttings, Ground Breaking ceremonies and General Meetings.

The eXplore Nixa committee is responsible for eXpanding the promotion of local businesses and Nixa to our community and beyond.

Economic Development
2009 Chair: Bob Massengale, Heartland Realty Co.
The Economic Development Committee’s main objective is to help retain and enhance those businesses already in existence and attract new businesses.

Legislative Corps
2009 Chair: Dr, Stephen Kleinsmith
Your Chamber monitors local and state government affairs to advise our members on changes that affect their businesses. The Legislative Corps keeps abreast of and informs members of issues on all levels of government.

Assist in organizing programs and services that provide value-added benefits. Organize and promote chamber membership and opportunities for members to interact in business and social settings. Organize and promote retention strategies including member briefings/orientation, ribbon cuttings, annual banquet, and ambassadors

WWIN (Working Women in Nixa)

2009 Chair: Melissa Slamb, Magical Vacations
Monthly meeting held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at noon. Open to chamber members, their employees and non-chamber members. Personal & professional networking geared to the working women in Nixa.
